Tried this one, it was OK. I liked trying to get good songs written, so the band could get some albums out. FYI, that is where the money is in this game.
But the biggest roblem, game after game, was I COULD NOT SAVE once i was into it a bit, nor did the autosave work past the first one or two saves.
I tested this on 2 laptops, one running XP and the other Vista. It blows because once you have a decent band, you cannot save 'em.
Also found I couldn't save the game after a while.
Another problem - my band played at Orion Theater in Detroit (I think) and attracted 75000 new fans. Great, except the 75000 new fan icons cover up the "close" button to exit the concert screen so the game gets stuck.
My game was going quite well, i managed to save it but now whenever i go to start the game my pc crashes.

if u intall this game by mounting the cd using daemon tools pro, saving the game is possible.
it is working fine for me.
but i dont seem to get a song rating of 2 and above...
Hey, I tried this game on my vista computer and my mom's XP computer and both times, you get so far and poof, I loose all my fans it goes to 0 and my money is NAL or somthing like that were I have unlimited, lol can someone help me please??????
If you are having trouble with the saved games and freezing of the game - email support at the publisher GameMill. They sent me a patch and everything works fine now - I imagine it will be on their site soon as an upgrade patch. 10/30/07
Got 1.2 patch.
It's a little better. but save games still get screwed (ie you can save ONCE), and the game still randomly stops counting up dates.
Also had my bus get stuck so regardless of what event I clicked on the bus won't go there and it says "you missed an activity"..
PS if you hit ESC the flash window will go out of full screen and you can't put it back properly without restarting the game!
This code is GARBAGE - GameMill sucks ballz.

I worked on this game, all the coding and game design was done by interns :D. Artwork was and animation was split between interns and freelancers.
So most of these problems are easily fixable, we just didn't have great beta testers and time constraints.

Different games can be saved if the settings of flashplayer are put on "unlimited". No patch necessary for save-problems.
I like his game only it doesn't exactly save very well. But i get very frusrated when my agame doesn't save.This games is decent.
P.S. i haven't really played this game but i played it for hours at my cousins.
never buy promotions...a tried and my game runs without problems, saving, loading, no chrashes....that's it

Works fine for me. I have no problems saving, and it never freezes or crashes.
Well I bought the actual game on Ebay.
Not knowing too much about it but i bet the diffictulties with saving and ext. are just with the download.
Or the computer.

Okay, so I downloaded the .rar files. I also have WinRAR. How do you install this game??? I click on the file 'rghlfgngdf.part1' and it brings me to the file 'Rock.Tour.Tycoon.World.Tour.2008-JFKPC.' When I click on it, it comes up with a list of .rar files, and when I click on any of the files, it says "You need to have the following volume to continue extraction:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\Rar$DI02.250\rocktour-jfkpc.r00
Insert a disk with this volume and press 'OK' to try again or press Cancel to break extraction."

I'm trying to install this, but when I try to check the files, the file "rar" is missing. I am using the program Quick SFV. Any help?
::: How To Install :::
1.) Make sure you have both files in the same folder. Right click file 'rghlfgngdf.part1' and extract.
2.) You will now have a folder named 'Rock.Tour.Tycoon.World.Tour.2008-JFKPC' that contains more .rar files (.rar through .r12) (dont concern yourself with the .sfv file)
3.) Right click file 'rocktour-jfkpc.rar' and extract
4.) You now have your game 'image' (2 files... .bin & .cue) You can either burn this image to disc (as an 'image' not as 'data') and install from the disc or...
Use a program like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools to mount the image in a virtual drive and install that way (a virtual drive allows you to install without the need of a physical disc).
*After installing, you will probably need to crack the game. The image probably contains a folder with a crack in it. Usually just as simple as copying the cracked file into your Rock Tour install folder, replacing the original .exe file with the cracked .exe file. This allows you to play the game without the original disc. I have not had time to check out the game so that's why I say "probably". Will try it out later.

Cool game, but I wont play it again because of that.
If you are having trouble saving it, try playing without the disc. It works for me
Well this is what works for me...The problem is promotion. So all you have to do is to pick the promotions that expires and once they expire save the game before choosing another promotion package. How this was of help
I noticed that someone up there said they got three stars on the third band but could unlock the fourth band. No one anwsered. I have the same proublem, can anyone help with that?
How do I unlock the fourth band? I've got 3 stars still it will not unlock. I've started it over three times, everytime I get three stars it STILL will not unlock Avenpitch.
i had the 2 stars for almost 3 years in the band time life then avenpitch unlocked so just keep going and it will eventually unlock
k heres what u do guys.. if u r having save problems play without the disk.. i bout this game in biglots for 2 bucks and its a good game if u can get it to save also if u want to cheat it is very very easy.. since this game wasnt a huge production everything is in xml files. so go into your folder then go into xml folder. right click then open with.. Notepad.. and there u go just edit the numbers and when ur done press save not save as hf.. ne other questions htit me up at dragunbo3@yahoo.com
a solution if there are to many new fans is to save the game and then load it. that we you get to the map
The way to fix the savegame problem is, right click, settings, than make the meter thingy in the middle all the way to the right so its unlimited.
the -nan money problem.
-nan means negative money. To fix this, do concerts until you get money. Sometimes it just goes into negative money but its okay.
I am addicted to this game. I have the 137k plane, all the best instruments, over 12 mil. If I havent spent anything, I would have over 300mil. Dunno why everyone is complaining about their problems because I have had none :)

Sometimes the members song writing skill depends on the time the song will take to be written. Nearly all my members are max song writing so its about 5 minutes for a song to be written for me. I recommend putting all your members on writing.
